Parallel to my obsession with photography, I've spent my time in the classroom in a relationship with the creative process. I believe in this process of following threads or choices, making marks, assessing the above, and then readjusting is like engaging in a formidable dance. All the mechanisms are built to unveil connections that sharpen our understanding of our truths. The recipe of these combined delights gives birth to a generous fluid process, across innumerable perspectives and experiences, learning to see and be seen.
The graphic design numbers are up! Now I can stop working.
Tonight I started my first real college course in nearly 15 years. I am incredibly thrilled to be back in the classroom on the other side of the desk. The fabulous Chris Ryan is my instructor. He is a multi-Emmy award wining cinematographer, small business owner, and extremely talented yet humble human being.
What an amazing feeling... school has started without me!!
So there it was, the process opening up right before my very eyes... The creative process that is... The process I have dedicated my life to teaching others. One of the few that I totally get behind in this crazy world. And although I have been working off an on in the studio classroom with wet-mount scanning as a technique that we can exploit, I took this as a personal omen signaling me...
So like any good artist and momma might do, I made some photographs in search of some truth...
...and so it begins... Again! Yes!
My exhibition at the Sheldon opens to the public and there will be a book signing. More details to follow!
Just proofed the prints for the show last Friday and worked out the presentation issues with Olivia, the director of the Art Galleries at the Sheldon. The Books should be in any day... we are cookin' with fire.
So here you have it... this is my new webpage. RIP MobileMe...
